UNLV CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY STUDENTS

Yen-Lin is a 5th year Ph.D. student with research interests in decision-making in the field of clinical child and adolescent psychology. Primarily interested in: (a) how to integrate actuarial decision-making into clinical decision-making for diagnosis and treatment recommendations, and (b) how sociocultural contexts influence an individual’s perception of what behavior is considered impairing. Yen-Ling hopes to expand her research to include examining how clinical decision-making and social judgment may be biased across different dimensions of culture, especially in ethnic minority groups and underserved populations.

Kimberly Stevens

Kimberly is a 4th year Ph.D.student with research on the etiology and treatment of eating disorders. She is currently collaborating with the Behavioral Addictions lab to investigate the overlap of sexual behavior and eating disorder symptoms in women.

A 2nd year Ph.D. student with research interests in behavioral addictions (gambling disorder) and eating disorders. Specifically, interested in learning more about how impulsivity may drive negative behaviors in both gambling and eating disorders. Current projects include a systematic review on sports betting and a manuscript on eating disorders in the Veteran population.

Madina Kamolova

A Master's student with interests in studying sexuality and coping during the Covid pandemic from the lens of addictive behaviors. Current research is focused on exploring relationships between addictive sexual behaviors and sexual orientation. Madina is also collecting data to learn how college students are navigating through the pandemic to help address their mental health struggles and addictive behaviors.

A Master's student with research interests in problem gambling and responsible gambling strategies. His thesis aims to investigate gambling behaviors among VIP Hosts in Macao. Currently, he is also involved in a systematic review of sports betting.

Kaelyn (she/her/hers) is a 1st year Ph.D. student with research interests that include sexual behaviors, religion, addiction, and trauma.

Ray is a 1st year Ph.D. student with research and clinical interests in helping military and law enforcement personnel better their lives and perform their duties at an optimal level, helping victims of trauma, and helping people with phobias. He also strives to ameliorate the stigma associated with psychological diagnoses.

Bailey is a 1st year Ph.D. student with research interests in pornography use and female sexuality. Currently, Bailey has a survey collecting data on pornography use, risky sexual behavior, religiosity, and mental health. Bailey is also involved in a paper on erectile dysfunction in the VA and a systematic review of gambling and suicide.

Jessica Habashy

Jessica is a 2nd year Ph.D. student with research interests in cultural influences on mental health, diversity issues in practice, and the sociocultural correlates of disordered eating. Jessica is interested in further exploring the behavioral patterns of addiction found within some eating disorders (i.e., binge eating).

A Clinical Psychologist, and an independent graduate student at UNLV. She has a diverse clinical, and cultural background, with multiple linguistic abilities. Her main interest is studying the traumatic and post traumatic experiences and maladaptive coping strategies, among subjects exposed to physical and sexual traumatic events. When not working, Carine enjoys traveling, TV appearances, and playing tennis.

Bryce Robinson

Bryce Robinson's research interests are to examine psychiatric comorbidity, as well as suicidality that veterans face in relationship to post-traumatic stress disorder. He wishes to inform policy decisions, resource allocation, and screening and treatment efforts aimed at helping U.S veterans engage in quality mental health services.
